Hey Thibault, sorry for the slow response here.

Looking at the log, I'm not seeing any sign issues or overflows. It seems
instead that you're occasionally seeing ~23-30k cycle gaps. Not sure right off
what might be causing it, but it could be hardware SMIs, or long running irq
code preempting you. 

Running out of ideas, so a few things you might check:

1) Does 2.6.32-rc8 show this behavior?
2) Does running w/ nohz=off change the behavior?

Another item I noticed:

Can you reproduce this behavior without the nvidia binary module?
