With this (rather old) magneto-optical drive:

hdd: FUJITSU MCC3064AP, ATAPI OPTICAL drive

/proc/ide/hdd/media does not show the expected value:

# cat /proc/ide/hdd/media 
UNKNOWN

I think that the ide_optical device type should be displayed as "optical" in
/proc/ide/*/media.

BTW, the device type information does not seem to be available in sysfs - only
in /proc/ide.
