Summary: psaux device is not properly accessable.
    Kernel Version: 2.6.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: blocking
             Owner: vojtech at suse.cz
         Submitter: troll at arach.net.au

Distribution: Unable to access raw device
Hardware Environment: all mice
Software Environment: userland drivers
Problem Description: Need to access raw device to allow a userland driver to
properly control the device. Would prefer to port the 2.4 drivers to 2.6.

Steps to reproduce: None needed the kernel is too restrictive - the 2.4 kernel
drivers were better.

Please give us back the 2.4 drivers - they were more robust and flexible.

By forcing the kernel to control the mouse you have lost the ability to use non
standard devices.

I am trying to debug a cirque touchpad in advanced mode - but the ps2 driver
keeps getting in the way.
