Summary: using nvram as module will not find the nvram device
           Product: Platform Specific/Hardware
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 2.6.39
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: PPC-32
        AssignedTo: platform_ppc-32 at kernel-bugs.osdl.org
        ReportedBy: stefan at konink.de
        Regression: No

When using nvram as module, modprobe nvram will not give a working /dev/nvram.
The only way seems to be to compile the module inkernel. In the Powermac
Platform Makefile it is explicitly mentioned a module should be seen as a
compiled in kernel option.
