Something more going on here than just utf-8. Both my cooker install and
Ubuntu-10.10 have en_US.UTF-8, and the test is passing there. If I recall
correctly, we had several issues when certifying MES5 with a French locale
setup. Probably need to change locale on a system and see if I can re-create
this issue.
