We have prepared a new update for the Linux AppChecker - 4.0.7.

The changes include:

1.	Installable version can now be run without root permissions (data
are stored in .lsb subdir of the home directory).
2.	Fixed "unknown" status for interfaces in unapproved libs.
3.	Added components list to the popup page at the Interfaces tab, and
fixed the filter effect at it.
4.	Highlight more missing libs in the Library column at the Interfaces
tab.
5.	Added a tooltip for libraries in the Library column that are missing
in the NEEDED section.
6.	Fixed "N external libraries incompatible with LSB" link in the
Summary block.
7.	Show recommendations even for non-linked interfaces.
8.	Added support for gzipped database snapshots (needs less disk
space).
9.	Fixed problem with the Select Components dialog: now items can be
selected while the page is being loaded.
10.	If all automatic tests passed, the test report is opened with
default grouping by component.
11.	If all automatic tests passed, additional category "Automatic Tests"
is shown when grouping by category.
12.	Escaping of various text strings was unified to make code better
organized and less error-prone:

*	escaping of special HTML characters like "&" or "<";
*	escaping of single/double quotes in JavaScript strings;
*	escaping of URL parts;
*	escaping of HTML id and name fields;
*	escaping of shell command line parameters.

13.	Renamed special user from linux-app-checker to linuxappchecker (fix
for bug  <http://bugs.linuxbase.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2727> #2727).
14.	Other minor fixes and improvements.

The updated sources are in Bzr. Pre-built binaries are at
http://ispras.linuxfoundation.org/index.php/Linux_App_Checker_Releases.

Brian, Jeff, please ensure the new AppChecker is on the LDN download page.

Regards,

Vladimir.
