Has anyone ever seen a printer in which the IEEE-1284 and USB IDs
differed? Doesn't USB report IEEE-1284 ID strings?

Here is my contribution:

CLASS:PRINTER;
MODEL:DESKJET 880C;
MANUFACTURER:HEWLETT-PACKARD;
DESCRIPTION:Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 880C;
COMMAND SET:MLC,PCL,PML;

Figuring out which printer these ID strings belong to is left as an
excercise for the reader.  ;-)
