Hello,

off topic - only for information:

Perhaps this is was caused by the "backend-probing-which-is-available"
of the cupsd when and only when it starts:

A quote from what Kurt Pfeifle explained on cups at easysw.com
--------------------------------------------------------------------
The cupsd on startup runs each executable it finds in
"/usr/lib/cups/backend/" *with no argument* (for normal
operation, backends require to be run with 5 or 6 specific
arguments).

The "no-argument-run" of a backend expects to produce an
output in this form:

   kde-bitshop:# ./parallel
direct parallel:/dev/lp0 "Unknown" "Parallel Port #1"

Some backends (like the serial one) require root privileges,
some (like the serial one) do output multiple lines.
