Yes, this can be "magically" done. The scheme is to make a
"Resolution" option, then set the available choices and default value
of this option based upon which model printer is being used. The
resulting PPDs will have a Resolution option with the one true choice.
We do not appear to have this driver listed; I should add your files
to the foomatic cvs, or mirror them in for the website, or something.
