TOPIC: standardization

Janina & George met with Jim Zemlin and Amanda McPherson regarding the
FSGA's
deliverables. They are aminiable to almost anything. FSGA could
deliver
specifications with or without tests.

TOPIC: XKB

It is believed that XKB part A is done with its test assertions;
however, part B regarding the ABI is left to be written. The XKB team
will need to decide what to do with the functional specification.

XKB has not changed since 1994. It is a good baseline; however, it
falls short of the current common practice. The FSGA could deliver
what it has at hand, then roadmap the future. The development
community should be challenged in a different venue such as the
Desktop Developer's Conference.

ACTION: It was suggested that an XKB gap analysis be written to discuss.

ACTION: Would like to review the visual bell () feature.

The XKB team will meet next on Monday Sept. 12th.

NOTE: Sorry, it was hard to listen, talk, and write.
