One major point that needs to be kept in mind when reading this analysis is
that it does not test AT-SPI on CORBA vs. AT-SPI on DBUS, but it compares
some small test programs using CORBA, DBUS and DCOP, where the difference
might well be caused by the bindings.
The real question from our prespective the following:
If it is at all possible to use ORBit from KDE, would then the end result of
using ATSPI via atk and ORBit (including the performance loss caused by
working around the limitations of a common glib/Qt event loop) be quicker
than using the DBus bindings that will be included in Qt 4.2 (assuming those
will be speed-optimised as much as possible)?
