Hi,

We'd like to try something new, and we want you to be a part of it.

On Monday, November 8th, the FCC will sponsor its first-ever Open
Developer Day at the commission's HQ in Washington, D.C.

This event follows a tradition that has brought together developer
communities from across the world to move technology forward.

At our Open Developer Day, we're inviting a wide group of developers and
accessibility innovators to collaborate with experts from the FCC and
across the tech sector.  Think of it as a "digital barn raising" to
reimagine the way that citizen developers can innovate around
accessibility tools and promote open government.

Engineers from the Yahoo! Accessibility team and Yahoo! Developer
Network will be providing technical instruction for some of their
technologies that support working with web-based information and their
ongoing work in accessibility.

Join us as we take another step toward citizen participation in open
government:

What: Open Developer Day at the Federal Communications Commission
When: Monday, November 8th, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Where: FCC HQ, 445 12th St SW, Washington, D.C. 20554-0005

An RSVP is required for attendance. Space is limited. There is no charge
to participate. Every developer is expected to bring his or her own
laptop computer. Participants will be expected to attend in business
casual wear, and to abide by all rules established by FCC network
guidelines while on agency grounds.
