Humm, they are saying there is a problem with heatsink/screws.

(Update)
Hello.
I am now trying to boot My UP2 board.

The board has blue power LED near DC jack, but it does not light correctly.
(i.e. it does not power-on)

It lights only sometimes, when I re-plug the DC jack, but usually, just plug it in, nothing happens. LED stays blank.
(I noticed there are 4 colorful LEDs also, but not sure about their purpose. They all are also lit sometimes, if I re-plug the DC jack.)

Also it is lit properly if I connect FTDI cable to RPi header pins (so that 5V DC is fed from the header pins).

I noticed following on their document:

>UP Board and UP Core:DC power supply rated 5V/4A
>UP Squared:DC power supply rated 5V/6A

I am trying with 5V/4A or 5V/5A power supplies.

Do I need precisely 5V/6A (6A or above) power supply to properly power it on?

When properly powered on, what I should see on my HDMI display?
Will I see BIOS setup screen?
Or, it is just stay black until the Linux image (from my USB stick) properly boot up?

Hello.
Not a big issue, but I noticed scripts_mkefi-agl.sh now depends on "-P" (partscan) feature of losetup.
I need to upgrade my host to ubuntu 16 for this.

Yes, the FPGA changes with the model. I do not have the programming
process, but I have the contact in Aaon (the manufactuer) if there is an
interest.
> Q1: So, both of the UP boards are supported by "intel-corei7-64" targets.
Yes. As noticed, depending of the Com card that you add in the slot, you
will have to select the right firmware in your build/conf/site.conf
file, so your image embedded the firmware required by what ever COM car
you will have selected.
The same may apply to the PCI slot (driver and Firmware if required).

The Up boards are not Open Hardware by opposition to the Minnowboard.
Neither the schematic, nor the BIOS code are available.
Aaon sell boards which are compliant with Industrial requirement, but
keep that know-how to themselves.
They are open to commercial discussion would you require changes.

On the opposite side, their bus interfaces (low and high speed) are open
and documented.
