David's fix is now available for testing: please try the "IO delay quirk" patch
attached to bug 6307 (ontop of 2.6.24-rc5) and boot that kernel with the
io_delay=0xed boot option, does that do the trick for you?

Please also attach your dmidecode output to that bug, so that we can make the
boot selection automatic.
