IBM ThinkPad 51R running Ubuntu 9.10 (upgraded from 9.04) failed to suspend.
Suspend light (semi moon) flashing and system locked. Power off is the only
option. It works on Ubuntu 9.04 (kernel 2.6.28.x).

I have tested with kernel 2.6.30, 2.6.31.6, 2.6.32.rc6/rc7 and found that it
works on release 2.6.30, but failed on all other version greater than 2.6.30.
(I used binary kernels download from Ubuntu kernel site:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/).

There are more than 100 bug reports. ID >= 394831 are on Ubuntu 9.10/kernel
2.6.31.

I don't know this is a bug of Linux kernel or libraries/applications in Ubuntu.
