Summary: Vaio laptop reboots instead of resuming after
suspending to RAM with kernels >= 2.6.35
           Product: Power Management
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 2.6.35, 2.6.36
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: Hibernation/Suspend
        AssignedTo: power-management_other at kernel-bugs.osdl.org
        ReportedBy: adriano.vilela at yahoo.com
                CC: adriano.vilela at yahoo.com
        Regression: Yes

This happens on a Vaio VGN-NW130D laptop running Debian testing.

Resuming from suspend works fine under kernels up to 2.6.34, but I get a full
restart (most of the time, not always) under 2.6.35 and 2.6.36. I don't use any
proprietary drivers, but I do have the Debian package firmware-linux-nonfree
installed. How could I help trace the problem?

Thank you,

Adriano
