Hardware Environment: Gigabyte motherboard (7N400-L), PCI Soundcard (Creative
Audigy rev 3, model 0x53)
Software Environment: gcc 3.3.4, modutils 2.4.27, libc 2.3.4, vanilla kernel 2.6.11
Problem Description: Kernel hangs with "Kernel panic: unable to sync" when
loading the snd-emu10k1 module
Steps to reproduce: The problem appears both when trying to load the module
manually (via modprobe) and when booting a monolithic kernel, with the driver
built-in.
