Software Environment:
Linux x235b 2.6.11 #1 SMP Mon Mar 7 05:24:10 PST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
=================================
Problem Description:
IBM PS 2 mouse and keyboard are not recognised by the kernel 2.6.11-rc4,
2.6.11-rc5 and 2.6.11 kernels. While keyboard and mouse are recognized in
2.6.11-rc4-mm1, 2.6.11-mm1 kernels. This problem is noticed even when I use
distro config file.
=================================
Steps to reproduce:
o Build any of the kernel 2.6.11-rc4, 2.6.11-rc5 or 2.6.11(stable kernel) with
existing distro config file
o Boot from the latest kernel
o Once the login screens comes up, try using mouse/Keyboard (PS 2)
=================================
Note:
But having no problem with recognising USB mouse/Keyboard in any of
these kernels.
Here by I am providing you the part of .config which enable Keyboard
and mouse
#
# Input Device Drivers
#
CONFIG_INPUT_KEYBOARD=y
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_ATKBD=y
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_SUNKBD=m
# CONFIG_KEYBOARD_LKKBD is not set
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_XTKBD=m
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_NEWTON=m
CONFIG_INPUT_MOUSE=y
CONFIG_MOUSE_PS2=y
CONFIG_MOUSE_SERIAL=m
CONFIG_MOUSE_INPORT=m
CONFIG_MOUSE_ATIXL=y
CONFIG_MOUSE_LOGIBM=m
CONFIG_MOUSE_PC110PAD=m
# CONFIG_MOUSE_VSXXXAA is not set
Note: Enabling the remaining modules(Namely:CONFIG_MOUSE_VSXXXAA and
CONFIG_KEYBOARD_LKKBD ) didn't help me to solve the problem either.
So please let me know how this can be fixed.
