Summary: Pressing lid switch results in failure of ACPI
interrupts
Kernel Version: 2.6.11
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Owner: acpi_other at kernel-bugs.osdl.org
Submitter: mjg59-kernel at srcf.ucam.org
Distribution: Ubuntu 5.04
Hardware Environment: HP Compaq nc6120
Problem Description:
Pressing the power button generates ACPI events, though the sleep button does
not. Pressing the lid switch causes the screen to blank. Releasing it does not
result in the screen switching back on. After this, pressing the lid switch does
not cause ACPI interrupts or events to be generated. Pressing the power button
does result in power button events. Each power button press causes one lid
switch event to be generated.
At a guess, the hardware believes that the lid switch was never serviced?
