Hardware Environment: VMWare virtual machine, 1gb ram, 18gb harddrive
Software Environment: Shouldn't matter in this case
Problem Description: The system hangs for a long time when booting, just after
it has printed "Decompressing Linux..." on the screen.
After a while, it wakes up and continues booting.

Steps to reproduce:
Try booting a 2.6.22 x86_64 kernel on a vmware virtual machine.
