Hardware Environment: Athlon 64 X2, 2GB Ram, 320 SATA HD, Nvidia 7300GS pci-e
(yes, this problem happened well before I loaded any binary kernel modules)
Software Environment: Ubuntu 7.04
Problem Description: System will not recognize USB devices plugged into my pci
add-on card, or firewire devices.  Also, after a few minutes of use, system
becomes unstable with random freezes.

Steps to reproduce: Unplugging the add-on card changed nothing.
