Summary: ath5k driver disconnects sporadic with WPA-PSK and does
                    not reconnect again
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
     KernelVersion: 2.6.25, 2.6.26-rc1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: network-wireless
        AssignedTo: drivers_network-wireless at kernel-bugs.osdl.org
        ReportedBy: helge.deller at sap.com

Latest working kernel version: none
Earliest failing kernel version: 2.6.25 (first kernel which included ath5k)
Distribution: Fedora 7
Hardware Environment: HP NC6000 Laptop w/ built-in ath5k

Problem Description:
Laptop with built-in AR5212 network card:
02:04.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications, Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC
(rev 01)
Subsystem: Compaq Computer Corporation Unknown device 00e5
        Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 11
        Memory at 90080000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

ath5k driver connects to my WPA-PSK wifi router, but after some time (and after
adding some more wifi load), the ath5k driver just disconnects again and fails
to reconnect. Only "rmmod ath5k" and "modprobe ath5k" brings it back again.

System log reports:

A prism54-based cardbus card with the p54 driver connects on the same laptop
and wifi configuration without problems and stays connected for hours.

Steps to reproduce:
- modprobe ath5k
- Tell KNetworkmanager to use ath5k-based driver.
