We've got hands on a GPS evaluation kit from

http://www.fastraxgps.com/products/evaluationtools/evaluationkit/

and it' actually equipped with a CP210x USB to serial bridge.

The vendor/product ID is: 0x10c4/0x826b.

If add this product ID to the driver cp2101.c using the patch I will attach in
the sequel, this device works flawlessly under linux ;-)

  Please consider my patch for inclusion on the mainline.
