To add support for Hyper-Threading in the kernel. Includes the changes
to identify
and enable Hyper-Threading, processor affinity, option to disable
Hyper-Threading
at boot time and other changes like mtrr and microcode update driver to
support
Hyper-Threading enabled system.

Developed by Linux OS Eng. team at Intel and open source community
