Thank you for the positive feedback on the metrics release.
What you are describing sounds connected to two threads of discussion that surface occasionally and we have not made much progress on either:
1. Composite Metrics - metrics that are combining (with weights) other metrics into one. We have some examples in this current release.
2. Maturity Models (or other names) - a collection of composite metrics (simplified). For example this CHAOSScon talk https://youtu.be/NaC2obrH8vg?t=551 (sorry, I was the speaker).
I do think that what you are describing has value and a place in the CHAOSS discussion. :)
