Cool.  Even cooler would be to show the same Qt application running on
Gnome with the same functionality derived from the Gnome desktop.

 Well, it's not impossible for reasonable amounts of functionality:

 The window in the background is Scribus, a Qt-only application, and the 
window in foreground is a KDE file open dialog for it (File->Import->Get 
Text). Note the custom widgets at the bottom which are not in the standard Qt 
or KDE dialogs. Scribus itself is not modified in any way and the KDE library 
providing the dialog is not linked against or dlopened.
