Good first "stab" at this Aaron. However we should give more specifics
(if possible) in all three statements. For example, let's be specific
on a few of the problems that we are trying to solve. When we say we
are trying to solve problems that are common between projects that does
not necessarily give one the idea of what those problems are and how
what we are doing will help. If we give a few examples it will help
people catch the vision and enlist more help. Ideas could be:

    * Common desktop file format / location
    * Common file / mimetype handling.
    * Consistent menu structure

The idea here is not to list all of the items we will be addressing but
to give people a flavor of what will come.
