All - 

We have finalized arrangements with the Paramount Hotel in Portland for
lodging rooms for the DTL Desktop Architects Meeting on December 1 & 2,
2005.  Our block of rooms are for Wednesday, November 30 and Thursday,
December 1.  The Paramount will honor the meeting room rate 3 days prior
to and 3 days after the meeting for those who wish to come early and
stay later to enjoy Portland.   The Meeting Reception will be held on
Wednesday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Paramount Hotel.

The negotiated rate for rooms is $109 plus taxes.  There will be a $15
charge for each additional person per room. Individuals are responsible
for  making their reservations and payment for their rooms.  Please tell
the reservations agent when you book your room that  you are attending
the OSDL Reception/Meeting to secure the $109 room rate. 

Check in time is 3:00 pm and check-out time is 12:00 pm.  The hotel will
accommodate early arrivals based upon room availability.  The hotel Bell
Captain can check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are not
available. 

The MAX Light Rail (Red line) runs directly from the Portland  airport
and comes within 1-2 blocks of the Paramount Hotel.  MAX trains run
directly by and stop at OSDL's headquarters - it is best to take a Blue
Line train outbound from Portland (heading west) - you will not have to
change trains  before the Beaverton Central (OSDL) stop if you take a
Blue Line Train.
