[Desktop_architects] Firefox and mime type handling is gconf specific :-(

Actually we use GnomeVFS. In an ideal world, GnomeVFS would query some
cross-desktop information source on our behalf. In the real world, GnomeVFS
is obsolete so we have to update our code to GIO or something and that
probably still won't help us with KDE users.
