I think this kind of metadata should in fact go to the test.yaml file.
I have sent to you a test.yaml file for iperf3 including that variable.

I have also included another one showing the params accepted by the test.
I would like to put the params on the spec file, but json does not accept

I noticed that I haven't added iperf3 to the Dockerfile. I just sent a patch for that.
