Unfortunately I will not be at the KS, but I definately want to
know the outcome of this discussion for natural reasons.

Johan Hovold has been raising issues with the current
ABI on the list.

I am now trying to get a chardev prototype up for a richer/saner
userspace ABI for GPIO but other contributions and ideas
are welcome.
