There's a likely side-effect of this that you probably don't 
want. If commercial software vendors without a Linux background 
get hold of this, and understand that it's just the standardised 
parts of Linux and nothing else, they will start treating it as 
their reference distribution. 

This will then upset the commercial Linux distributors (SUSE, 
RH, et at) who will then reconsider their support for LSB. 
Then LSB will be just another distribution, with s standards
body, but very little support. And it will die.
