As an FYI, we do have access to a testsuite that will cover
at least a portion of these commands (this is part of the
Open Group UNIX brand testing - there is an unencumbered
version of the commands test, VSC).  We have, however, not
had the manpower to integrate this testsuite, and it never
rose especially high on the list of priorities as the
commands seemed to be of lesser impact amongst all the other
needs in enabling portable applications.  They matter, but
they did't seem to matter as much as some of the other issues.

So this is something which could be pursued if we have
resources.
