do you in fact have the it_IT locale installed?  run_tests tries to
validate this by running the 'date' command under each locale that
will be required by the test, and your output under the it_IT locale
looks remarkably like the 'C' or 'en_US' locale.

If you're using X.org version 7, you'll need to modify the font path
during the interview to be /usr/share/X11/fonts (except for the test font)
