[lsb-discuss] Could not find xtfont0

when i execute the lsb-vsw4 Test Suite(lsb3.1) on a homemade linux OS ,a
prompt shows as follows:

People inexperienced with the X Window System should have either the
"x-window-system" or "x-window-system-core" packages installed.
# apt-get install x-window-system-core
# apt-get install x-window-system

Other useful commands to run include:
$ dpkg --status xserver-common
$ dpkg --status xfonts-base
$ zmore /usr/share/doc/x11-common/FAQ.gz
Testing the test fonts are installed ....
xlsfonts:  unable to open display ''
Could not find xtfont0. xlsfonts xtfont? should list xtfont0..xtfont6
Aborting tests

what that means,especially the last part(the part after "Testing the test
fonts are installed....")and how could i fix it
