First off, sorry for forgetting the meeting notice.

Attendees: Jeff, Stew, Mats, Sam, George Kraft, Dan Kohn, Marc Miller,
Marvin, Darrin Davis

Was hoping to lead off with Java status. Missed that Konstantin was on
the call last week; should have given him the floor. Sam is contacting
him for more info.

Marc: architechture names. 32-bit is IA32, 64-bit is AMD64. More
generic names? Mats: name changes made in Navigator, specs not changed.
Marvin: can cause build failures. Mats: also, the current names are in
ISO. Mats: should do this, but perhaps slowly. Marc will file a bug.

New app data: Darrin is evaluating ATK Manager so he can explain it to
the internal teams at Novell.

Sendfile: Jeff hasn't written up the summary yet. Will do that today.

Qt 4: Jeff and Jesper have talked about it on the list. Mats: no apps
use Qt 4? Jeff: lots of people follow KDE's lead, so we may expect a
flood once KDE 4 is released. May want to make sure we track KDE 4's
usage of Qt 4 so we don't miss anything.

Face to face meeting: Darrin will ask about hosting, at least for a
future one; may be too short notice for mid-October. Will look into it.

Dan will send Kay the email re: Java.

ALSA: the multimedia group is nervous about the full libasound API.
Dan: ALSA upstream might help ISPRAS? Jeff: maybe we should ask
upstream for their help. Mats: distro people should have multimedia
experts. Darrin will ask SuSE multimedia people. Mats may have a
contact at Red Hat.
