[lsb-discuss] LSB 3.2 Beta is released

The LSB Workgroup is pleased to announce the availability of the first 
public beta of LSB 3.2.

More information, including links to the specification and download 
locations for the tests and SDK, can be found on the Linux Foundation 
site at:

In particular, please see the beta Release Notes at:

This release contains many fixes to the existing specifications from LSB 
3.1, as well as several new specifications.  These include:

  - printing support

  - FreeType

  - Perl and Python

  - promotion of Qt 4 as a required standard

  - experimental support for two new X extensions, Xrender and Xft

  - experimental support for the ALSA API

This beta is intended to gather feedback from interested parties on its 
quality prior to release.  Accordingly, please review and test the beta, 
and provide feedback:
