I've refreshed the branch which contains the
"libtool hack" to lsbcc, also known as bug 788.
The diff applied just fine to the current lsbcc
code, so everything should be quite current.
There's usually quite a bit of churn in other
parts of build_env (headers and stub libraries),
but lsbcc usually changes slowly, so this will
likely stay current. 

If anyone wants to review this stuff with an
eye to deciding whether it could go into 3.2,
that would be nice.  It's been sitting around
for a long time, I've refreshed a few times to
keep it from going completely stale.
