Sorry, slight correction. Didn't mean "roll your own" for the code review tool. I should have had a closer look first! Still, the "yet another independent tool" part remains relevant.

I hesitate to make this comment, but I trust this list will keep cool heads and see the issues on their merits. My personal feeling about *some* of the tools / infrastructure LSB uses is that they feel a bit dated, might not be as functional as other options or are perhaps not using tools that are used more widely. This most recent development of a "roll your own" code review tool seems like moving in the wrong direction to me (no offence intended, Mats, I'm sure it's a good tool - my comments here are not about the tool itself).

More specifically, LSB uses bzr for its source repo, bugzilla for issue tracking and now a custom tool for code review. I don't know a lot of people who are familiar with bzr, but I sure know lots familiar with svn and increasingly with git (I personally prefer the former, but that's just me!). I'm sure bzr has plenty of users, my main point is that there are other much more popular repo tools which might encourage more widespread participation in what LSB does. For code review, obviously no-one is yet familiar with the new code review tool.
