Stable update status

New business:

Meeting opens at 11:00 with:

Stable updates have been slow releasing; Jeff has been working 
gcc 4.7 but this breaks some C++ code with new scoping rules 
conformance being tightened compared to prior GCC practice

Stew: Slogging iteratively through glib and png continues, 
toward LSB 5.  Jeff: This mirrors the experience when adding 
xslt earlier in the march to LSB 5.  There is the combination 
of fighting broken buildbots, updating the database MySQL, and 
actually adding new headers

The November 15 goal looks increasingly overly optimistic; The 
final deliverable beta process on 5 was intended for Spring 
2013 ... Jeff proposes acknowledging this and formally move 
the goal to January 15. No objection

Carlos went through the dynalinker analysis, which adding ARM 
coverage occasioned.  It is probably too late for a fix in 
glibc 2.17, as a freeze is imminent, but getting it in to 2.18 
looks likely with a backport into 2.17
