Missing interface definitions (bug 3754) was a big topic of
discussion.
Missing interface definitions: some generated from
specdb-aux-scripts/check_consistency.sh LSB Navigator can also
generate some of this data, selecting admin mode and going to
Workgroup Services ("Included interfaces without
documentation") Another source is in lsbspec itself: as spec
pieces are built, interface references are added. If not
found, an sgml comment is emitted, so searching for these is
helpful - they will look like:
Base/generic/utillib/libz.sgml:<!-- MISSING DEFINITION FOR
inflateCopy --> Note these will all be duplicated, as each
library-related fragment is then ' built into a larger chunk,
so the example missing inflateCopy will also appear in
Base/generic/utillib/utillib.sgml
lsbspec: are png15 interfaces documented? png15 ones matching
png12 were duplicated into own directory. References:
lsbspec/Graphics/generic/libpng and
lsbspec/Graphics/generic/libpng15. mats notes it will be
intesting to check whether the libpng15 interfaces have
Interface.Idocumented set to true, if not that could be
inflating the count. Update: they're not marked documented.
=== (topic proposed at beginning, but we didn't really get to
it) A note from mats on building the packaging spec: source is
separated into a submodule directory Packaging in the lsbspec
branch, and buildable in the books branch in the Packaging*
subdirectories. The design in general is submodules are
buildable standalone in books, these are not expected to be
released as such as LSB branded specifications, so this is a
good model for building "Linux Package Specification" without
involving the rest of the LSB stuff. Materials in
lsbspec/generic/intro are used only for the 0submodule) book.
intro.m4 is thus the place that contains the verbiage "Linux
Package Specification" as opposed to implying it's LSB
packaging.
Call ends at local Noon
