I think it unlikely that any distro will modify their "Add / Remove Packages"
to query freshmeat or google to find third party apps.

I don't see why a distro would maintain a totally separate
infrastructure (0install) when the current apt and yum systems
work well.

I'm not aware of any distribution that supports 0install.

Basically, I'm not interested in 0install unless some distro decides
it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and replaces their
package manager with it.
