[Printing-architecture] 3D Printing in LibreCAD and similar apps

Hi,

on the OpenPrinting Summit last week

talked about 3D printing with IPP and CUPS in several sessions:

Are there any 3D printing efforts in LibreCAD and similar projects? How 
do you handle this? Would you like to cooperate with PWG and 
OpenPrinting to make 3D printing out of LibreCAD and similar apps "just 
work"?
