[Printing-architecture] Alexa IPP Printing

I recently read that Alexa is now compatible with IPP printing. My Echo Dot
V2 meets the requirements. I have a Dell Color Laser Printer 1355cn that I
can print from Android, iPad, Windows and Mac driverlessly via IPP, by way
of my Ubuntu 16.04 Linux running CUPS 2.1.3

I have now tried configuring two different Amazon devices; a Dot and a
Cube, to CUPS IPP Printers and neither recognizes the CUPS server as an IPP
printer, while other devices do. .

The document here
https://www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=19820259011
refers to "...MDMS settings turned on." . I can only guess that means M-DMS
settings and is this something generated by a CUPS print server?

Has anyone here had success with this or have any ideas how to make it work?

Thanks

Mark
