I filed a bug about Ubuntu driverless printing feature several months ago[1]. I guess the root cause of this issue is CUPS always generate English/ISOLatin1 PPD even though it includes Japanese/UTF-8 wording. Is this an issue of original CUPS, I mean, it is better to file a bug in CUPS upstream, or Ubuntu-specific ones? Please let me know if you have any idea, with replying to this mail, or commenting on the issue in Launchpad.
